About Us

The International Society for Pelviperineology represents a group of clinicians who have a common interest - namely the management of conditions relating to the pelvic floor and associated viscera.

By virtue of its complexity this unique anatomical region demands the input of not only specialists from a variety of disciplines, in particular gynaecology, urology and colorectal surgery, but also a host of allied health personnel such as physiotherapists and continence nurses.

In this way, the Society is spectacularly well placed to bring together the opinions, ideas, practices and research of its members, and  the website has been designed and developed to facilitate the processing of this potentially huge knowledge base such that it can be shared and utilised to maximum advantage for the mutual benefit  of the intended recipients - our patients.
